A different base

As I pass through my years of living
I find that the base changes

I was able to stand firm
but now I am losing my grip and almost fall

My heart is filled with fear and
tomorrow is unknown

I think of the unthought of
as if my mind has blanked of all happenings

help me ! hold me ! I will fall
But wait...I must remember

The base changes and so it must
and now I must take control
