Basically, most non-Jew Americans do not have a clue on the Palestinian
oppression issue, nor do they care (which is so unfortunate). The average
American (both husband and wife) spend 40 or more hours at work and given the
other responsibilities in life they do not have the awareness of what is going
on in Palestine. The ones who think they are up on the news, get their
information from CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS. All of these stations in my
opinion, only do stories that the government supports. Granted they do the
Clinton scandel stuff or the Enron Bush-Cheney connection thing, but they get
away with this type of reporting because they know they have the support of the
opposition party (and that makes it OK). The obvious reason that the news
medias are so pro-Israel is attributed to the Jewish/Israeli lobby money
(AIPAC) that goes to both democrats and republicans. Plus there are many Jewish
execs on board at the major networks and no arabs.
So, in summary the average American sees that another Palestinian bomber has
committed suicide taking a few Israeli casualties along the way. While the
imposed curfews, oppression, buildozing of Palestinian homes, US shipment of
arms to Israel and grants to Israel, etc. all go unreported.
This is so unfortunate. As to what can be done - here are my suggestions.
1. The Arab countries need to unite - not to fight - but to come together and
donate more funds and rebuild Palestinian homes and to improve the economy of
other poor Arab nations.
2. Do not continue with this fighting. The US and Israel are to powerful.
3. To have each individual Arab country stop buying weapons from the US. The
US does this primarily to make money for themselves and hopes to promote war
between other Arab countries. If the Arab countries want weapons from other
countries, then they should have a joint military - this way they are all one
and they must agree to peace. This peace must include all the Arab countries,
even Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, etc.

Anyway, these are my thoughts - please respond
