Israeli Officers Protest Zionist Atrocities

TEHRAN Approximately 50 Israeli officers have rioted in protest of the
suppression of Palestinians.

According to a report released yesterday by the Central News Bureau (CNB), the
soldiers issued a statement that confirmed their military operations in the
Palestinian-ruled areas were not defensive actions for the Israeli regime but
were in fact crimes against the Palestinian people.

It stated: "What is happening in the Palestinian-ruled areas is by no means
related to Israeli security and is actually an attempt to dominate Palestinian
people.

"We know that the occupied territories are not ours and the Jewish settlements
will be abandoned one day and therefore we will no longer take part in battles
to defend the settlers."

They underlined that they wanted to continue their careers in the Israeli Army,
but said it was clear that the suppression of Palestinians and occupation of
their lands were not defensive moves.

They also called on the Israeli judiciary to stop Sharon's government from its
assassination policy and urged the other Israeli air and ground forces to join
them in protesting the attacks on Palestinians.
