: Annette...I forgot, "Redbone"- name of '70"s Native American band, Two
brothers Pat & Lolly Vegas a third member Tony Bellamy,they were a foursome but
the drummers would change no one ever steady always N.A.- all Piute tribe.
Music was rock, & blues with a traditional N.A. flare, or would incorporate
into. Albums were Prehistoric rythym,Potlatch,Message from a drum,Brujo -
(already here), Wovoka, Beaded dreams through Turqouise eyes.
The name Redbone N.A. slang term meaning 1/2 bread.Never got that, though, they
were all 100%,full blood themselves. Now days the term would be "apple" red on
the outside & white on the inside.
Other Native bands out there, but lost my contact on them. Bad thing is there's
a good one that was here in the city this past fall,can't remember their name
though. All full blood members, a family 4 brothers & 1 sister, they are
Souix.
