Dear Sir,

The ever increasing chemical use of hydrocarbon raw material and the
degree of its processing as well as the necessity to reduce energy expenditure
makes it urgent to develop new catalysts which allow to carry out processes
under the conditions of low temperatures and pressures. These requirements can
be met by using metal-complex catalysts based on transition metals.
I have a Patent, registered in Russia for convert Styrene to 1,3-
diphenylbutene-1, which give the best result in the world. Styrene conversion
is able to approach 145000 mol of C8H8/g-at Pd in 5-7/h, the selectivity for
dimer being up to 90%. The product 1,3-diphenylbutene-1 analyzed by the NMR-
(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), IR- and Mass-spectroscopy.
1,3-diphenylbutene-1 necessary feedstock for the manufacture of synthetic
lubricants, raw material in paint production, monomers for preparing synthetic
rubber, heat transferor, organic synthesis and others.
